Freebie Friday— Win a Spot in an Upcoming Online Workshop!
Yay, it’s Friday—my favorite day of the week! Woohoo! It’s been a while since I’ve had a Freebie Friday. But the wait is over! Today is officially Freebie Friday here on the Creative Organizing blog.
What’s up for grabs you ask? Well, how about a little peace of mind brought to you courtesy of clear surfaces? How about a little less paper clutter, and a whole lot more paper organization? All this can be yours if you win today’s Freebie Friday for a spot in Organize Your Paper Clutter. The final session of this workshop for 2009 begins on Tuesday.
Now…you may be thinking “Sure, I’d try this online workshop thing if I win…but can an online organizing workshop really help me with my paper clutter? You haven’t seen my piles of paper.” Here’s the answer: yes, this workshop will help with your paper clutter! I get emails and comments in my forum all the time saying that this workshop changes people’s lives. People who were once burdened by paper are now free of that burden. They’re now off doing other things like (happily) organizing another area of their home or enjoying a hobby like scrapbooking, or simply enjoying the company of their family, in a home free from paper clutter.
Now…you may be thinking “This sounds great, but I’m going out of town during a week of this workshop.” Or “This is a busy time of year for me.” I’ve heard that before, too, and the bottom line is this: if you start now you’ll be much further ahead the next time this workshop is offered than if you wait until then to begin. Regardless of how much time you can put into this workshop, you will get something out of it. You will make progress! You will feel better about your paper, and you will, in the end, have more time to focus on other things that matter to you.
So, that’s the scoop on the paper clutter workshop! If you’d like a chance at a free spot in the workshop, simply post a comment in the comments section about your biggest paper organizing challenge. I’ll close up the comments on Sunday night at 9 PM Central and draw a winner on Monday. Good luck!
Oh…and be sure to stop by next week for an exciting Freebie Friday. Let’s just say I’m giving away something that is very hard to find…

Oh, I have so many organizing chalenges to deal with! It would be perfect to start with the paper clutter. I think my biggest chalenge is the many boxes with my kid's school art!
I'd love to win a spot in the workshop!
I'll keep coming back for more inspiration from simplify 101.
Have a great weekend Aby!

The continual in-flow of paper. Help with what to throw out and where to put what I am keeping.

My biggest challenge is kid's papers and art. I love them but they seem to not have a home.

My biggest challenge has always been to deal with it as it comes in the door. I'm doing better at setting a time to deal with the incoming at least several times a week. But I still have lots that has been piled, stacked, boxed up, moved to other rooms, etc! I'm determined to get all the OLD papers sorted, filed, shredded or pitched. I would love to win a spot in the workshop.

I love your blog! I would have to say my daughters papers from school are the hardest thing to tame at this point (she's in 2nd grade) She gets upset if she sees her school work in the recycle but I can't save every piece!

where to put it all and what to keep and what to get rid of....

I have trouble keeping up with all the papers that come home from school. It's amazing how many you can find stuffed in the kid's bookbags.

My desk- you know it's bad when you clean it so that you can see the whole monitor. Thanks for the giveaway!

My biggest issue is I'm backlogged. I work full-time, am in grad school part-time, and am planning my wedding. I'm inundated with paper and I feel like I don't have time to deal with it, so it just gets moved around in piles.

Mostly bills (paper) from years ago. I'm desperately trying to shred them but wow. And then the papers from my kids' schoolwork. UGH. Odds and ends. No place to put things.

I have been struggling for years with paper clutter. I try to implement a "system", get 1/4 way through it, get sidetracked & then forget what my system was. I can never find important papers when I need them. I think I've ordered the kid's birth certificates 3 different times. It's bad.

I am having trouble with incoming papers and where to store it so I can easily find it again.

My biggest challenge is memorabilia type papers. The programs from recitals, unique school papers, etc. I can never keep up.

I just started a series on my blog about a six week organization challenge focusing on different areas each week. One of the weeks is organzing my overflow of papers! I would love some guidance on what the best way to go about doing this would be. My biggest problem is knowing what to keep and for how long and actually putting the papers in their places.

My biggest challenge is how to organize the papers of a current project. Projects that don't "finish" immediately and are ongoing while waiting for others or something else are stressful. And having them sitting on my desk while waiting and constantly looking at me in the face causes much more anxiety than I would like! How do I orgnize the ongoing projects paper clutter??

My biggest problem is putting all the paper (mail, newspapers, magazines, etc) on the kitchen counter...which gets really messy! I would love to win a spot in your workshop!

I started misplacing bills, so I bought a letter organizer. Well, I've started throwing everything in the letter organizer and now I'm losing bills again.

Paper clutter??? OH, yeah. Six kids, a 38-year marriage, family archives like ya' READ about, six years worth of my own college notes, articles I've been "meaning to read," continuing ed stuff...and on...and on...annnnnnnnd on.

I think I'm a pretty organized person, but coupons (restaurants, stores, fast food, etc.) really throw a wrench in my organization. I need them out so I'll remember to use them, but I hate the way they look on the refrigerator, counters, etc.

Would love to win! My biggest challenge is all the misc. pieces of paper - not bills, but things that need to be kept - invitations, event flyers, etc.
