time's up!

That's right ... the 12 week challenge is officially over! How did you do? Here's what I'd love to know:

  1. Where were you when you started? In other words, how did you feel and why did you decide to join in the challenge?
  2. Where are you now? In other words, it's time to toot your own horn loud and proud! Tell me about your progress and more importantly, let me know how you feel about it.
  3. Do something today to celebrate your progress. Even if you aren't as far along as you'd like to be (or as far along as you thought you'd be) do something today just for you! Take a walk. Take a bubble bath. Go get a pedicure. Spend some time scrapbooking. No matter where you are in the pursuit of your 12 week challenge, I bet this is true for each of you: you're farther along than you would have been if you hadn't participated. Right? And that, my friends, deserves celebration! Congratulations! I'm so excited for you!!

I have a full day of appointments today ... so I'll post about my progress in the 12 week challenge tonight ... OK? Can't wait to hear from you!

I'm a big fat miserable failure. LOL! I made it through about 6 weeks of a new diet/exercise plan then fell off the wagon. Life kind of got in the way for a while. I'm heading back to my original plan and will start over again soon though.

1. Declutter the kitchen.
2. Clean out the closet in the den.

The kitchen has had a lot of clutter removed. Since I never intended to do all of the kitchen, any progress here would be a goal acomplishemnt. I did get more done than I anticipated. I also got the adjacent laundry room cleaned out and re-organized. This was not a part of my original goal, so it is a bonus! I also got the walk-in pantry partially cleaned, which was not part of the original goal. Another bonus.

The den is all done except for the closet. I have started on it, but it is not done. Part of the project ended up including the cleaning out of two chest-of-drawers (bonus) and re-organizing the scrapbook project shelf (bonus).

Both projects ended up being more than just the two projects by themselves. They each had several bonuses! YEA!

I started the challenge two weeks late and had hoped to finish in the remaining 10 weeks. I have set myself another goal of finishing the closet project in another two weeks (Sept. 5) which would be a total of 12 weeks. In the mean time I am very happy with the progress I have made.

You said to reward ourselves because of the completion and/or progress made. My husband and I went out to supper tonight. We are going to a corp on Saturday.

What is the next challenge? I hope it will be as full of personal acomplishment as this one has been and continues to be.

Here it is September 5th...and I did it!!! I finished cleaning out the closet in the den/scrapbook room. I also managed to squeeze in another small declutter project in the kitchen. I started 2 weeks late and planned to finish in the 10 remaining weeks. That did not happen but I finished in 12 weeks. Hooray for Mary! Now I can sit back and celebrate my wedding anniversary tomorrow (36). I also managed to put together a 4x6 "Brag Book" for my Mom over the holiday weekend. Wow, no wonder I went back to work today tired...but happy!
